Unreal is a company on a mission: a mission to revamp America’s most beloved treats. Founded by Boston brothers Nicky and Kris Bronner, the company is all about veganizing popular candy bars and ditching the unnatural, unhealthy ingredients.

Unreal’s newest product, a Dark Chocolate Crispy Quinoa Peanut Butter Cup, rolled out in select Whole Foods last week. They also make Dark Chocolate Coconut Peanut Butter Cups and Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Cups.

With most supermarket aisles filled with heavily processed, chemically-laden candy bars, Unreal is a welcome alternative. The company uses 100% real, non-GMO ingredients, less sugar than the alternatives, and no gluten, corn, or soy. They also opt for only Fair Trade USA Certified and sustainably-sourced ingredients.

The concept came to be when young Nicky had most of his Halloween candy confiscated by his dad—and soon realized that most candy was packed with animal products and additives. After that, he partnered with his older brother and dad to create something better.

The brand’s vegan candy bars are available at 1,000+ retailers nationwide including Krogers, Super Targets, and certain Whole Foods Markets or online.
