Policies/PR Pitches

General guidelines for harm.less:

  • We do accept products and samples (since we’re all about staying attune to the latest and greatest) but can’t guarantee coverage. We only write about products/brands we genuinely like!
  • We’re always looking for a scoop, so please feel free to reach out with story ideas and pitches!
  • We’re open to sponsorships and partners, but exclusively with brands we believe in! 😊 Feel free to reach out for pricing/sponsorship options.

Advice for PR Agencies:

For PR pros and agencies, know this: harm.less is all about ORIGINAL news, so if you’re sending out a mass press release, chances are we won’t be covering your story. We like scoops, completely unique angles, fun products, and breaking news that hasn’t been covered elsewhere.

Coverage of Vegan Products:Β

When it comes to covering vegan topics and products, Hannah’s view of what’s vegan (and what isn’t) is in line with PETA’s: “Being vegan is about helping animals, not maintaining personal purity. Boycotting products that may contain trace amounts of animal products can actually be harmful to animals in the long run. For example, by refusing to eat a veggie burger from a restaurant because the bun may contain traces of milk or eggs, you are discouraging that restaurant from offering vegan options because it is seems too difficult a task.”

So, we will cover and discuss products as vegan as long as they don’t explicitly contain any animal ingredients.Β “Accidentally vegan” items and those that don’t have an official vegan certification are still on our radar, as long as the ingredients qualify.
