Vegan cheese options are everywhere these days, with brands like Miyoko’s Creamery, Heidi Ho Organics and Punk Rawk Labs leaving people wondering why they ever needed dairy to begin with.

Now, one of the nation’s leading non-dairy cheese creators, Vtopian Artisan Cheeses, has opened the nation’s second all-vegan cheesery: Vtopia Cheese Shop & Deli in Portland, Oregon.

The company’s products started hitting stores in 2013 based on recipes whipped up by founder, co-owner, and chef Imber Lingard. Since then, Vtopian cheeses have been made available in select stores in Oregon, California, Colorado, Maryland, Washington and Canada.

The new shop and deli will serve Vtopian’s own cheeses, as well as a whole host of other brands. The grand opening celebration was held last Friday night, and 300 people came out to celebrate, Lingard tells Latest Vegan News.

“Right now we have a large variety of Vtopian Artisan Cheeses and a selection of guest cheeses from Nary Dairy, Punk Rawk Labs, Miyoko’s Kitchen and Hefi Ho with more cheeses being added soon,” she adds. “We also offer melted panini and will be offering a deli selection of more sandwiches and salads soon.”

Vtopian’s own varieties include Aged White Cheddar, Macadamia & Cashew Camembert (wedge), Cranberry Brie, Mediterranean Feta, Creamy Basil Borealis and many more.

Vtopian Artisan Cheeses is located at 1628 SW Jefferson Street in Portland, Oregon.
