Pumpkin season is officially here, and seasonal treats are hitting store shelves everywhere. And while some are vegan, sadly, most aren’t.
Thanks to Sweet & Sara, however, vegans have some amazing autumn-themed options. The New York-based candy maker is now selling vegan pumpkin smores, pumpkin-flavored marshmallows, and pumpkin spice ‘mallow pops.
All three treats use pumpkin-flavored marshmallows as a main ingredient.
“We add pounds and pounds of pure pumpkin and some spices (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves) in each batch and then coat with pumpkin powder,” says owner Sara Sohn of the production process.
The s’mores are pumpkin marshmallow layered with a graham cracker and topped with organic dark chocolate. As with everything Sweet & Sara makes, all three pumpkin products are vegan, kosher, all-natural, handmade, and GMO-free.
Better hurry up and order — the season doesn’t last long, and vegan pumpkin s’mores are calling.
