Having vegan mayo on hand at home is all well and good, but what about when out and about? Thanks to a lack of cruelty-free condiments, plant-based eaters are frequently faced with dry sammies when eating in cafes or lunch rooms.

Soon, however, Hampton Creek will start stocking lunchrooms with egg-less mayo. As of April 15th, the company is releasing single-serve Just Mayo packets in regular, chipotle, sriracha and garlic.

The announcement was made via Hampton Creek’s Facebook page, and the company answered lots of questions from fans about the new development. From this back and forth, we learned:

• The packets would be rolling out to restaurants, cafes, hospitals and universities. Then, (maybe) retail establishments.
• All Hampton Creek machines are swabbed, tested, and sanitized before production. They also do allergen testing to make sure all product is 100% egg-free.
• They’re working to use environmentally sustainable packaging.

Be on the lookout for the handy dandy little Just Mayo packets at your local eateries come April 15th.

They also posted a photo of a Just Mayo branded dispenser that looks cafeteria-ready.

Hampton Creek has had lots of announcements lately. They just signed a whopping distribution deal with Foodbuy, and they’re working on releasing Just Scramble to food manufacturers later this year.  These folks are on a roll (with lettuce, tomato and Tofurky, of course).
