Bottle Free Haircare is the Hot New Trend and it Makes Life Way Easier

These days, all of us are trying to cut back on plastic consumption (that ocean tho!). But who wants to give up all the stuff we love? Particularly cosmetic products because we all want that glow up.

Enter the newest trend in hair care: bottle-free bars that work like soap. Known as shampoo bars and conditioner bars, they’re a million times easier, super eco-friendly, and there’s no plastic involved.

Basically, you lather up the bar in your hands or in your hair, then rinse. For the conditioner bars, you rub hot water on it and then massage it down the strands of your hair. Easy peasy.

Because they’re in bar form, they’re super travel-friendly. Just pop ’em into a container or baggie and go.

Bottle None is one of the companies that makes these bars, and they’re all about maximizing the hotness of your hair while still being good to the planet.

Here are some of the deets on Bottle None’s bars work:

They last for 50+ washes (replacing two to three bottles of shampoo).
Vegan and cruelty-free!
No surfactants, sulphates, artificial fragrance, phthalates, formaldehyde, or other toxins.

They come in five formulas for different hair types. YOU, for all hair types; be STRONG, for fine or damaged hair; be BOLD, for thick or coarse hair; be CLEAR, for deep cleaning or oily scalps and be BRIGHT, for blond, red, or grey hair. Lush and other brands also make the bars. Shampoo and conditioner bars are $14 each.

The company means it when it comes to waste-free. The packaging the product ingredients come in is repurposed to create travel cases, soap dishes and bottles.

Other companies like Lush, Love Beauty and Planet, and other make bar options, too, so you can shop around. All in all, it’s an awesome way to cut back on single-use plastic while still making sure your hair looks aces.
